Modifikasi Sistem Barcode Pada Mesin Building Plant I PT ASD

Abstrak

PT ASD is a leading manufacturing company in Southeast Asia that produces various types of high-quality tires
for different vehicles and related rubber products. The company's Plant I specializes in manufacturing motorcycle
tires and has several departments, including Material, Building, Curing, and Final Inspection. The Building
Department combines tire components into raw tires (Green Tires) using machines such as BTU, HBT, and Jingyie.
However, there is an issue with variations in barcode scanning times due to the barcode's position in the center of
the tire and some barcodes being covered by tire spacers. To address this problem, the barcode position will be
moved to the outer part of the tire. This research involves modifying the barcode system. The modification is done
by adding a program to the PLC using GX Works 2 software. The results of the modification show that the barcode
scanning process can be completed faster, with an average scanning duration of 184.5 seconds compared to the
initial 387.5 seconds.
