Abstrak

PT XYZ is a tire manufacturing company focused on improving product quality. At Plant C, which produces
Automobile Tubes and Bladders, the extruding process often encounters issues at the marking line stage. The
manual mixing and filtering of cement and solvent result in non-ergonomic working postures and the potential for
rework on green stick tubes. Using the RULA method, high-risk postures were identified for the operators,
including frequent bending, which can lead to musculoskeletal disorders if not addressed or prevented. As a
solution, a cement mixing tool was designed using a Pneumatic Rotary Motor (air grinder) controlled by an
electro-pneumatic control system. This mixing tool operates automatically, mixing for 15 minutes and shutting off
for 8 hours when the push button is pressed. This cycle continues until the push button is turned off or the
emergency switch is pressed. The total energy consumption of this tool in one day is 1.54 kWh.
